Startups, micro-businesses, and self-enterprises are facing increasing pressure to integrate sustainability into their operations. However, many encounter serious challenges in doing so—from policy uncertainty to limited financial and human resources. The path to green transition isn’t always clear, especially when eco-innovation involves new technologies, shifting market demands, and evolving regulations.
The StartGreen project has been created to support exactly this transition. Its core mission is to tackle the educational gap and provide practical, tailored knowledge to help small businesses embrace environmentally responsible practices. By equipping business professionals and support providers with the right tools and resources, StartGreen empowers them to turn sustainability from a challenge into an opportunity.
As part of this initiative, we are organizing Business Seminars in a Debate-Presentation format, taking place over two days: 24 & 25 April. These sessions are specifically designed for managers, owners, supervisors, employees of micro-businesses and startups, as well as VET providers, business coaches, and mentors who work with them. Each seminar cycle will bring together business representatives and support professionals per country, creating a collaborative environment that fosters real dialogue and learning.
The seminars will include engaging presentations on two key resources: the CBA Expert Guide (A2), which introduces cost-benefit analysis strategies for green investments, and the Green Transition Manual (A3), a practical guide to implementing sustainability in day-to-day business activities. Participants will also take part in targeted discussions and group activities, and receive customized checklists they can immediately apply within their business or advisory role.
By attending, participants will gain hands-on knowledge about eco-innovation, deepen their understanding of sustainable business strategies, and become part of a growing network of professionals committed to environmental responsibility. Whether you’re looking to green your operations or support others in doing so, these seminars will give you the insights and tools you need to lead the change.
